January 24, 2026: Remembering Clara Peller: "Where's the beef?"
In the public flagellation of Jack Smith, Jim Jordan said that Cassidy Hutchinson's story (admittedly
second-hand) about Trump trying to take over the wheel from the Secret Service was debunked by
the SS driver (who corroborated every other detail of the incident except the part about the wheel
that he said “didn’t happen”): so Jordan asked, "Why was Smith still using Cassidy as a witness in his
capacity as special counsel for the DOJ under Biden, to investigate Donald Trump for conspiracy?"
To which Smith replied that Cassidy had not been selected as a witness from the large list of witnesses
then extant.
The point of Jim Jordan's line of questioning is as obscure as the reason that Jim Jordan
remains an elected national official of the House of Representatives despite his relatively zero use in
that capacity. Or any other.
Jordan said, "We all know that she lied!"
Well, no; we don't.
People who come within a block of Trump's biosphere are suddenly infected with a new disease
called "truth-ophobia." He lies every time that he opens his mouth, with or without a quarter-pounder
in it. Because the truth cannot define the image that a psychopath conceives of himself. And evidently supporting
Presidential falsehoods has become an obligation of the White House staff.
We might review the results of three Presidential elections in which Trump became - as the NFL puts it: WIN – LOSS – WIN:
the WINS by landslides as mandates for his imaginary policies, the LOSS, a win by fraud by his opponent
(an unverifiable claim by the loser).
The results of the three (3) elections are listed in the encyclopedia Brittannica (corroborated by every other major
source) as follow:
The numbers are listed here after the candidate in this order:
Electoral College, Popular Vote,
Percentage of total Popular Vote:
2016
2020
2024
Nowhere in those numbers is there apparent any landslide win by any candidate except by Joe
Biden in 2020!
Although Hillary Clinton did not receive a majority of the votes, she won the 2016 election by
more votes over Donald Trump than the number by which he beat Kamala Harris in 2024.
Trump was seated in the Presidency by a gerrymandering of voting districts that
favored the Republican candidate. He has never received a majority of the popular vote.
Kamala Devi Harris would have been the second if she had not been the Black Woman VP for Joe Biden,
nor her candidacy toasted by her own party with a wine pressed from sour grapes. She received more
votes than Trump did in his second run.
Nowhere in the numbers listed above is there some kind of suggestion that Donald Trump skulked
into the White House by a recognizable mandate of any description.
Kamala Harris is still a viable candidate for the Presidency of the United States of America.
